Privacy Policy

Studio Splitz is operated by CTRL Music Platforms LLC, an Illinois limited liability company located at 1 E Erie Street, Suite 525-2860, Chicago, IL 60611. References to "we", "us", and "our" in this policy mean CTRL Music Platforms LLC.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and password (stored as a salted hash). Studio owners may also provide a studio name, phone number, and business details.

Client Information: Clients provide their email address, artist/display name, phone number (optional), and genre preferences. This information is collected during OTP authentication or when a studio creates a booking on their behalf.

Contributor Information: Contributors are invited by studio owners. We collect their email address, display name, and Stripe Connect account details for payment distribution.

Booking Data: We store booking details including dates, times, room assignments, engineer assignments, session notes, and payment information.

Files: Studios may upload session files (audio, documents, images) for delivery to clients. These files are stored in cloud storage associated with your studio.

We use your information to: operate and maintain the Platform; process bookings and payments; send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, payment receipts); provide the AI assistant with context for setup guidance; enforce subscription plan limits; and improve the Platform.

We send session reminder emails 24 hours and 1 hour before bookings. You can manage your email preferences or unsubscribe from non-transactional emails through the email preferences page linked in every email footer.

Studio Splitz integrates with the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Stripe - Payment processing, subscription billing, and connected account payouts. Stripe collects and processes payment card information directly; we do not store card numbers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gmail API - Used to send transactional and notification emails from the Platform. We access Gmail solely for sending emails; we do not read or store your personal Gmail data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare R2 - Object storage for session files uploaded by studios. Files are stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) - Powers the AI studio assistant. Your studio profile, room configuration, and setup state may be shared with Anthropic's API to generate contextual guidance. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Twilio - Available for SMS notifications. If enabled, your phone number may be shared with Twilio for message delivery. See Twilio's Privacy Policy.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records and payment history are retained for accounting and dispute resolution purposes.

Session files uploaded to cloud storage are retained until the studio owner deletes them or the account is terminated. Upon account termination, files are retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

Verification codes and session tokens are automatically deleted after expiration (typically within 24 hours).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using scrypt before storage. Authentication sessions are managed with secure, httpOnly cookies. API communications are encrypted with TLS.

Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. File uploads are transmitted directly to Cloudflare R2 using pre-signed URLs.

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate information in your profile; request deletion of your account and associated data; opt out of non-transactional emails through your email preferences; and export your booking history.

To exercise these rights, contact us through the Platform or reach out to the Studio Splitz team. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

Studio Splitz uses session cookies to maintain your authenticated state. These are essential cookies required for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled while using the service.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

Studio Splitz is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
